'Brutalist Architecture' Retro Surrealist Poster

from $8.50
Inspired by Max Ernst's painting "The Whole City", this vintage style collage of famous Brutalist Architecture recalls mid-century modern art and design. English architects Alison and Peter Smithson developed the brutalist philosophy of architecture, which championed raw materials and lack of ornamentation. They believed that the core of Brutalism was a reverence for materials expressed honestly. The seeing of materials for what they were; the woodness of wood, the sandiness of sand."Museum-quality posters made on thick matte paper.
