DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS OF AMERICA POSTER SERIES

For my senior thesis project, I designed a series of graphics for the Portland Democratic Socialists of America, including this poster series.

The first poster expresses support for teachers’ unions and public education.

The second poster promotes investment in public parks and the importance of green spaces.

The third poster aims to change the narrative around homelessness by framing it as an economic issue caused by the same factors that affect all workers.

TEXT OF THIRD POSTER:

Houselessness is an economic problem.

Solidarity is the answer.

53% of people living in homeless shelters and 40% of unsheltered people are employed.(University of Chicago, 2021)

Homelessness is caused by the same conditions that affect all workers.
